Discover Pat-Pat's Kansi

Pat-Pat's Kansi is one of those hidden gems in the heart of Makati that offers a taste of authentic Filipino comfort food. If you're craving a hearty, flavorful bowl of kansi, this local diner might just be the place to satisfy your cravings. Located at 8811 Sampaloc, Makati, 1203 Kalakhang Maynila, Philippines, Pat-Pat's Kansi has earned its spot as a favorite among those who want to enjoy a traditional Filipino dish with a modern twist.

The menu at Pat-Pat's Kansi is centered around their signature dish, kansi, a type of beef soup that blends the richness of bulalo with the tanginess of sinigang. It’s a dish that’s perfect for those rainy days when you're in need of something warm and filling. The flavors are bold but not overwhelming, and the beef is tender enough that it practically melts in your mouth. The broth, simmered for hours, carries a deep, savory flavor with just the right amount of sourness. The vegetables that come with the dish, like corn, kangkong (water spinach), and potatoes, soak up the broth’s flavor, making each bite satisfying.

What makes Pat-Pat's Kansi stand out is how they manage to stay true to the roots of Filipino cuisine while making it accessible to a modern crowd. The restaurant offers a comfortable, no-frills ambiance that welcomes anyone looking for a quick meal or a casual dinner. Whether you’re dining alone, with friends, or family, the atmosphere here is inviting and warm, reflecting the friendly and approachable nature of Filipino culture.

If you’re visiting for the first time, you might also want to try their sizzling dishes, such as sizzling bangus or sizzling pork sisig. The sizzling plates arrive at your table, still steaming, and provide a delightful contrast to the softer, more comforting kansi. The crispy edges of the bangus (milkfish) or pork sisig give you a satisfying crunch that complements the tender meats. These additional menu items offer variety and allow guests to sample other classic Filipino flavors while sticking to the comforting theme of the diner.

As for the service, Pat-Pat's Kansi offers a friendly and attentive experience. The staff is always ready to help you navigate the menu, ensuring that your meal is exactly what you want. The waitstaff makes sure your table is always stocked with condiments like soy sauce, fish sauce, and calamansi (a small, tart citrus fruit) for those who like to tweak the flavors to their taste.

Customer reviews rave about how consistent Pat-Pat's Kansi is with the quality of their dishes. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, the food is always fresh, flavorful, and just as you’d expect. People often mention the generous serving sizes, ensuring that you get great value for your money. The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal without breaking the bank.

If you’re in Makati, especially in the Sampaloc area, Pat-Pat's Kansi is definitely worth a visit. The combination of authentic flavors, friendly service, and a laid-back atmosphere makes it a standout dining option. Whether you’re looking to indulge in their rich and savory kansi or try one of their sizzling dishes, you’re in for a treat that will leave you coming back for more.

  • If you are looking for some Filipino comfort food then this is the place. They always serve their signature Kansi dish hot which is so soothing after a stressful day. By the way, they already moved just beside their old location. The place is smaller but is clean and has air conditioning. Parking however is still limited.

  • This restaurant is already an institution here at San Antonio Village in Makati. Located along Sampaloc St, it has moved from its original location which the owners, Taboy and Richie Servando, rented to the bigger and better location next door which they now own. The restaurant is named after their daughter Patricia who also manages the original Pat-Pat's Kansi in their hometown of Iloilo. Food - 5*, can't go wrong with their Kansi. I normally order the laman version but this time I went for the Bulalo boneless with bone marrow integrated to the flavorful broth. Kansi is like Sinigang but instead of Sampalok or Kamias, Negrenses or people from Iloilo use batwan as the souring agent resulting to a different taste profile altogether introducing a little sweet and fruity taste. Their Inasals are also top-notch and we tried both Pecho and Paa cuts. We also had well-done Atay and Balun-balunan which was not rubbery and a delight to pair with the suka, Toyo, and sili sauce. Service - 5*, servers are always attentive and aim to please. Atmosphere - 4*, predominantly white, clean looking, larger than before and fully air-conditioned Parking - 3*, good for at most 3 vehicles, street parking is not allowed

  • Winner inasal and kansi! Chicken was perfectly cooked, still juicy and not dry & the inasal flavor is there. Kansi was tangy & sour but not overpowering howevr, the meat was not very generous given we ordered the largest bowl. Generous in their condiments but the chicken oil is by request and they give it in small serving portion per table. Place is airconditioned already unlike before where its outdoor, literally their garage. Big facelift i would say. Ate was nice , accommodating and attentive too. Downside is the only have 3 slots maximum so going there via grab is better.

  • We loved it here! The milk fish, bone marrow, everything was so delicious and authentic. I love their vinegar sauce too. Our marrow surprisingly didn't have much inside but they made sure we got some marrow after we showed them. Super sweet of them, good service and nice and clean space - Can't wait to be back.
